Our Expectations for the Role
We are looking for a Head of Finance who can lead our financial strategy and operations. You will be responsible for managing our financial resources, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements, overseeing our accounting and reporting systems, and providing financial insights and guidance to our management and investors. You will also play a key role in fundraising, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives, with a focus on optimizing revenue streams from crypto staking activities
- Manage our financial resources and optimize our cash flow and liquidity
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Oversee our accounting and reporting systems and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support our decision-making and growth
- Lead our fundraising efforts and maintain relationships with investors and stakeholders
- Prepare and present financial reports and statements to our management and board
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with Swiss law
- Preparing and overseeing legal documents in accordance with Swiss law
- Manage our budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor our financial performance
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with value added tax, income tax, and capital tax requirements
- Preparing and filing tax returns and managing tax audits and disputes
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- A Swiss CPA or equivalent education
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a crypto or fintech startup
- A solid understanding of crypto staking, DeFi, and blockchain technologies
- A strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis
- A proficiency in financial software and tools
- An experience in fundraising, investor relations, and M&A
- An ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely
- An analytical and strategic mindset with a problem-solving attitude
- Leadership and management skills with a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit
